Coniuncta was designed for a contest where the client specifically wanted the furniture to have features which make it easier to use with modern day devices. Coniuncta is a center table with inbuilt electrical points which can be accessed with just a simple rotation of the extension box. It also has inbuilt wireless charging (Qi enabled).Minimal use of materials has been done, with the top made of MDF and drawers made of teak wood , providing enough storage for frequently used items. The table legs are made of MS L-sections.
Following were the criteria for design
Piece of furniture should be for one of the below uses:
- outdoor use
- kitchen use
- living room use
- bathroom use
Look should be modern and no restriction on material.
Piece of furniture should have ONE OF THE following function (functions):
- connectivity with devices (phone, ipad,...)
- utilisation of green energy (solar, ...)
- user-friendly
